I’ll Cross That Bridge
By Jessica Hart
Søren Hansen, the co-founder of the platinum selling band New Politics, is now releasing some solo work! In 2024 he released a self-titled album, but now is set to release an EP this Spring with stripped-down versions of some of his most personal tracks.
“I loved recording this version because it has such a different kind of energy compared to the album version. When I first moved to Nashville, I was still trying to find a place where I fit in as a human, not just as the guy in a band, and writing this song was a part of that thought process and me finding myself.”
I personally love stripped-down songs, either with acoustic guitar or piano, less effects on the vocals. Sometimes over-production can actually take away the true feeling of the song and the lyrics, so it’s always nice when an artist gives us a choice!
His latest single from his upcoming EP is “Water Under Bridges (Stripped)”. With a beautiful and emotional singing tone that truly lets the lyrics be felt by the listener, I can’t wait to hear the whole album! Make sure to check out the music video, and check out the other versions.
