Driving in the Slow Lane

By Jessica Hart

As a Canadian, I have visited LA once or twice, and even though we have our famous Highway 401 up here… it’s still pretty bad down there.

But LA indie-rock artist See Night, has released a single “LA Traffic” from their upcoming album “Just Another Life” on Feb. 28, 2025. With highly poetic lyrics and melodic guitars giving way to a both rock and shoegaze style vibe, it gives the visual of driving in the slow lane of an LA highway.

“ ‘LA Traffic’ transforms Los Angeles traffic into a narrative of fleeting moments and lasting connections, capturing the essence of late-night drives and the bittersweet emotions of new beginnings in Sao’s adopted city... showcases See Night’s ability to blend distorted guitars with heartfelt lyrics, turning everyday experiences into compelling storytelling... a shoegaze, dream pop, and psychedelic exploration of our lives and the fresh starts we pursue.”

Her album “Just Another Life” will feature shoegaze/dreampop/psych reflection on the lives we lead and leave behind. With piano instrumentals, romantic orchestras and muffled rock guitar, this is something you don’t want to miss!

The new single also includes a nostalgic art style music video that really completes the entire sound.

Can’t wait to hear the whole album!
