Roses are Red

By Jessica Hart

As a lover of all things indie-pop, I bring you the soulful electro-rock ballad “Roses in the Street” brought to use by singer-songwriter, Sparxsea!

“Roses in the Street” is her newest single off her debut album “On The Sea” (set to release September 13). The song talks about the strength in having to struggle through hard times. It’s something we can all relate too. Sometimes you need that motivation in the background to remember that this is only a moment, and you have the strength to carry on.

Along with the single in a music video! I’m obsessed with the come-back of music videos, especially with the new wave of artists. Seeing how they want to visually represent their music is just another part of the art that I love. Sparxsea’s video was shot at Sandy Point, Maine. The video uses images of roses that move through a variety of states as Sparxsea walks like a goddess among the manmade structures. The contrast is what carries the meaning.
